沈伯韩：

“在安全的地方，懂得如何更好地融入当地、享受生活、享受摄影。在危险的地方，知道何时可进，如何能进，何时该退，如何能退。摄影有时很需要与人交流，外语是让这个过程变得更容易、更轻松的必备工具。”

“外语有帮助，但更多的不是表面上沟通，而是对其背后文化的了解，这样才能实现深层次的交流，拍出内心戏。这也是我们为什么要花4年，甚至更多的时间去学习一门外语的原因。”

2012年8月23日，在陕西省绥德县，绥德青年晋剧团演员在演出前化妆。绥德青年晋剧团是当地一个民营院团，共有团员近40人，每年演出近600场。大量的演出仅仅能维持基本生计。该照片获中国国际新闻摄影比赛（华赛）银奖。

“外语让我离被摄者更近，让我们能够交流，而不是作为一个陌生人。外语也能在危机的时候多少挽救我的处境。如果不沟通、不交流，拍照也仅仅留于表面。”

“外语让我明白，摄影也是一门语言。”

2008年8月11日，北京，一名海地柔道选手在奥运会女子57公斤级柔道比赛中头部受伤，血染赛场。该照片获第52届世界新闻摄影比赛（荷赛）一等奖。

对话曾璜

关于语言和摄影这个话题，拍者君特地采访了中国特稿社（新华社）摄影主编、著名策展人、影像艺术品收藏顾问曾璜老师。

拍者：您如何理解语言与镜头语言？

曾璜：这是两种不同的媒介，有各自独特的功能、用途，以及不可替代性。有的人文字语言好，有的人镜头语言好。我自认为是一个镜头语言比文字功力好的从业人员，因而，我会选择用视觉语言作为主要的表述工具，文字语言则作为辅助手段来支撑我的影像。

拍者：您觉得掌握一门外语，对摄影人而言重要吗？

曾璜：举一个例子吧。拍摄或编辑时，摄影师或图片编辑都有可能将现场背景标语上“anti-terrorism”（反恐怖主义）中的“anti”（反）字去掉，从而将“反恐怖分子”变成了“恐怖分子”。

“对焦”北外摄影人

今天拍者君分享的摄影作品，皆出自北外摄影人之手。

六月，他们将在北外举办“对焦——北京外国语大学师生优秀摄影作品收藏展”。

参展者中，或是北外的毕业生，或是在北外教授摄影的海内外资深从业者，很多人都获得过国内外重要摄影比赛的奖项。

展览时间：2016年6月

展览地点：北外图书馆一层展览厅

A Boat at Sea.

每一个大一点的城市都会有自己的动物园。动物园可以反映人类两个内在心理：一个是关闭，一个是观看。权力可以让一切驯服，将一切 “非人化”的因素关进笼里。同时，观看意味着理解彼此间的尺度和距离。获2007年荷兰世界新闻摄影比赛（荷赛）自然环境类奖。

Every sizable city has its own zoo, which could reflect two physiological dimensions of human beings, closure and watching. Power tames everything and it is able to put anything that the system regards as "unhuman" into a cage. While at the same time, watching means understanding the scale and distance between each other. Winner of 2007 WPP.

在南疆和田的一家本地餐厅里，妇女们正在就餐。和田在古丝绸之路时代，是商队穿越塔克拉玛干沙漠时会途径的一连串绿洲之一。

Women dine in a local restaurant in Hotan, southern Xinjiang. Hotan was one of the string of oases that caravans used when crossing the Taklamakan Desert in the days of the Old Silk Road.

由任悦主持的OFPIX工作室编辑制作《摄影如奇遇之还乡》盒子。OFPIX是一家报道摄影工作室，来自OFPIX的还乡计划收录了三十一位摄影师关于故乡的故事。盒子里共有十七套作品，以单册、拉页以及明信片的方式呈现，每个单独的作品都呈现一个独特的还乡故事。

OFPIX is a group founded in 2008 by Bin Zhan and Yue Ren, dedicated to the making of documentary photography workshops and projects. Photography Is an Adventure; Returning to Home is the result of one of such workshops, for which 31 photographers went back to their native cities and documented the changes. A reflection on the great social and landscape transformations in China, edited in 17 beautiful books, posters and postcards.

在这个历时三年完成的项目中，拍摄于北京中轴线上的照片呈现着雾霾中人们的生活，也默默提醒着我们，作为生产者与消费者的每个人，对共同家园造成的不可逆的伤害。

In this 3-year project, photographs taken on Beijing’s central axis present you the silent scenes of people’s lives under the hazy sky. Despite the strident government rhetoric, tightened-up restrictions on private car use in the city, it reminds us of the irreversible environmental damages we, together as consumers and producers, have made to our home.

《飞轮上的梦》讲述了中国国家残疾人自行车队备战2012年伦敦残奥会的故事。8名运动员中，3位脑瘫，2位只有单腿，1位小腿萎缩，只有金牌和奖金能改变他们的命运。最终，在这一届残奥会上，他们取得了6金4银5铜的骄人战绩。该作品获得第56届世界新闻摄影比赛（荷赛）多媒体铜奖及中国新闻摄影年赛多媒体金奖。

There are eight members in the China Disabled Track Cycling Team. The team trained for four years to compete at an international level and took part in the 2012 London Paralympic Games. They won six gold medals, four silver medals, and five bronze medals. As a team, these individuals have a better life. This story won the third prize on the 56th WPP and the first prize on the 18th China Press Photo Contest.

每张优秀的摄影作品背后，都有一段值得挖掘的故事，透过这些摄影作品，观众仿佛与摄影师一起亲历国内外的历史事件，切身感受事件中人物的悲与喜。
