美国佛罗里达州奥兰多市一家夜总会6月12日凌晨发生大规模枪击案，已造成50人死亡、53人受伤，美国联邦调查局已经将其定性为“恐怖袭击”。
这起枪击案被美国媒体称为美国历史上伤亡最惨重的枪击事件，仅次于“9•11”恐怖袭击。6月13日，世界各大报纸头版头条都表达了对奥兰多夜店枪击事件受害者的哀悼。

6月8日晚，随着微信公号『X博士』推送出一篇《残酷底层物语：一个视频软件的中国农村》（作者：霍启明，下文简称《残酷》），该文以及一个叫『快手』的软件又在互联网圈短时间内形成刷屏效应，此文几小时内达到10万+，它关注的话题在微信微博上引起不少探讨。
《残酷》一文列举了快手上大量内容低俗、恶俗的视频内容，并指出这就是目前中国三四线城市和农村的现状。“快手中的世界和北上广深完全是两个没有共鸣、没有交集的世界。就像是同一张纸上的两个圆圈，虽然在同一个空间，但几乎没有交集，两个圆圈之间也难以流动和沟通。所有的资源、权力都在属于那个北上广深一线城市的圆圈里，而在农村那个圆圈里，虽然人数众多，但资源和机会却少得可怜，两者之间横着看不见的结界。”
此文一经推出即引起轩然大波，文中引用的数字、案例和作者的结论都引起巨大讨论，不少自媒体纷纷刊文指出『X博士』的错误并反对其观点。迫于压力，《残酷》一文现已被删除。
二、王思聪揭“阿怡代打”：掀起直播平台撕逼战外，还达到了什么目的？

这两天，电竞圈甚至直播圈的最大话题，无疑是“阿怡代打事件”。经过了半个月的舆论拉锯战后，游戏女主播阿怡在其个人认证微博@刘佳怡0101上承认了买号代打游戏，并正式道歉。《英雄联盟》则在阿怡承认道歉前，宣布将阿怡的账号封停10年，并宣布对阿怡禁赛，无限期关闭与阿怡的合作窗口。

有这样的变故，全因为国民老公王思聪又立功了。王思聪6月8日发布的微博，成为了针对女主播阿怡的致命一击。因为王思聪的介入，“阿怡代打”话题成为微博热搜第一，阅读量一度达到6.9亿人次，也就是说，影响完全超越了电竞圈，成为社会公共事件。
不过这一次王思聪显然不只想扮演娱乐圈的侦探，他的出击不单是针对造假的主播阿怡，更多的是针对竞争对手——斗鱼平台。因为次日，王思聪还乘胜追击，转发游戏主播lol小楼的微博，直指斗鱼平台拖欠主播工资，导致斗鱼主播大量逃离。
王思聪的两度重击，选择颇有玩味，而他的出手也掀起了他旗下熊猫TV和其他直播平台的正面舆论PK。接下来直播平台以直播乱象为武器，开展各种撕逼恐将在所难免。

Google says that its search suggestions haven't been altered to help Hillary Clinton. Nor, it says, are they programmed to help any other candidate. "Google autocomplete does not favor any candidate or cause," a Google spokesperson says in a statement.
The statement comes in response to a YouTube video by SourceFed claiming that Google is hiding negative autocomplete results for Hilary Clinton. The video pointed out that Google doesn't suggest "Hillary Clinton crimes" when you type in "Hillary Clinton cri," whereas both Yahoo and Bing do. It found the same thing when typing "Hillary Clinton ind" in search of "Hillary Clinton indictment." It argued that both ought to show up, given each search's popularity in Google Trends.

三、Airbnb移除拒绝跨性别房客入住的房东

Airbnb, which is facing a lawsuit for racial discrimination, removed a host over a year after she was reported for denying a trans woman a room on the platform.
Shadi Petosky, a trans woman, was denied a room on Airbnb after she informed her would-be host that she is trans. As of today, that host has been removed from the Airbnb platform, BuzzFeed News has learned.
After Petosky told the host in question that she is trans, the host canceled her reservation out of what she described as concern for the discomfort of her teenaged son.
Petosky says she reported the host via a formal complaint to Airbnb when the incident originally happened, over a year ago, but never heard back from the company.
On Monday, Nick Papas, a spokesperson for Airbnb, told BuzzFeed News in an email that “Discrimination has no place in the Airbnb community. We are removing this host from Airbnb.”

Twitter has responded to reports indicating that tens of millions of usernames and passwords for the social media service are currently available on the dark web, specifying that it is "confident the information was not obtained from a hack of Twitter's servers," and that the purported passwords may have come from breaches of other sites and malware hidden on its users' computers.
News that more than 32 million purported Twitter passwords were being traded on the dark web surfaced Wednesday night. A day later, after cross-checking the password dump with its records, Twitter identified some of its accounts as requiring extra protection, locking them and requiring a password reset. It's not clear how many accounts Twitter chose to lock, but the company told the Wall Street Journal the number was in the millions, and that those affected will have already received an email explaining the situation.

Two years after the first reports of an IPO emerged, Japan’s Line Corporation — the company behind the popular messaging app Line, and possibly the first of the big messaging apps to go public — today announced that it has filed to go public on the New York Stock Exchange in the U.S. and the Tokyo Stock Exchange in Japan, trading as LN. The company today said in a news release that the NYSE listing is planned for July 14 with the Tokyo listing on July 15. The Tokyo exchange has already approved its listing of common stock, and the SEC F-1 filing for the U.S. part of the IPO will appear later today, the company added.
The announcement in English linked above did not provide details of how much Line, which is valued at over $4 billion, plans to raise, but those numbers have been made public on documents filed on the Tokyo exchange (in Japanese), and Line has confirmed the numbers to me directly: it hopes to raise $1 billion (113 billion yen) in the IPO, offering 35 million shares with an over-allotment of 5.25 million shares and 13 million of that in Japan. Pricing will be set June 27, with final price revealed July 11. The offering values the company at ¥588 billion ($5.5 billion).

Gawker Media filed for bankruptcy protection in a New York court on Friday, a move that could pave the way for the troubled digital property to be acquired by Ziff Davis.
The owner of properties including IGN and AskMen has reportedly already bid in the neighborhood of $100 million for Gawker, which lost a $140 million jury verdict in the Hulk Hogan trial that has since been upheld. The companies announced a purchase agreement shortly after the Chapter 11 filing went public but an auction is expected to be open to other bidders.
Denton, who is expected to file for personal bankruptcy as well, issued a statement hailing a potential marriage with Ziff Davis. “We have been forced by this litigation to give up our longstanding independence, but our writers remain committed to telling the true stories that underpin credibility with our millions of readers,” he said. “With stronger backing and disentangled from litigation, they can perform their vital work on more platforms and in different forms.”
